Motrain block advanced settings - Moodle and Totara

Once you've connected your site to Motrain, here are the other plugin settings you may want to change or be aware of:

Coin rules

Coins are earned when activities and courses are marked as complete
Turn completion tracking on for the course (Course Administration > Edit Course Settings > Completion Tracking > Yes).
Set the criteria for each course and activity completion (ex: minimum grade to pass).

Global settings

Set the coin values for completions across your entire site (ie. for any course or activity completion)

Course overrides

Override the Global settings by customizing the coin value for a specific course or activity completion

Message Templates

Customize the messages the learners receive from Motrain (ex: "You won an auction")
Add languages as needed

By default, the plugin will send both a Moodle/Totara notification and an email to the student from your Moodle/Totara mail server.

You can manage these under Site Administration/Messaging/Notification settings:

Player mapping

This allows you to easily map the user on Moodle/Totara with their Player ID on Motrain
Clicking on the First name/Surname will take you to their Moodle/Totara profile
Clicking on their Player ID will take you to their Motrain profile
Errors will display problems with your player setup (ex: EMAIL_ALREADY_USED)
