A second currency can be introduced to your program:
- It has to be enabled by your partner or the Motrain team
- The second currency's default name is "Tickets"
- Tickets are displayed next to the coin count
- Tickets can only be spent on Sweepstakes items
Ticket Economy:
Tickets are automatically earned as a percentage of the automated coin economy. Manage this percentage under the Account Settings/Settings:
In this case (Ticket earning percentage - 10%), if a player earns 100 coins for completing a course, they will earn 10 tickets.
Manually add Tickets to a Player:
When enabled, the Ticket count is displayed on the dashboard for each Player. Coins and tickets can be added manually (and independently) to each player using the action button in the furthest right column :
Tickets can be imported to the players on a team using the Import Coins tool for each team. Be sure to include a column header "tickets" as per the image below. In this case, 10 coins and 20 tickets will be added to each player:
Ticket Branding:
When enabled, the "Ticket" icon can be branded under your Account Settings/Branding:
Tickets and Teams:
You can disable Tickets from being earned/spent for specific Teams. Go to Teams/Settings:
If a Player is on a Team where the Tickets are disabled, they will not see the Ticket count on their block, and they will not see Sweepstakes items in the Market. However, dashboard admins will see the ticket count for these players.
Why Use Tickets and Sweepstakes?
It depends on the incentives you're offering. If you've established an "exchangeable value" of the coins, then you may have some legal issues if you offer raffle items. By using Tickets and Sweepstakes items, you are separating the virtual currencies and their capabilities in terms of which items they can be "spent" on.
- Coins can only be spent on these item types: "Purchase, Raffles, Auctions, and Fundraisers"
- Tickets can only be spent on Sweepstakes items
